As an organization\, we have come a long way in the past year. We have lessons to learn from the budget pledge drive\, health insurance reform and the Massachusetts Senate Race. The Strategy Sessions are a time to bring those lessons together and look to the future. Staff will talk through national strategy and simultaneously gather feedback from our supporters for our plan to lead OFA forward in 2010

Join Us At Our Campaign Kick-Off!

Dear Friends\,

Growing up in Snohomish\, my family was poor. I was the youngest of eight kids\, and I remember watching my mom and dad work hard to make ends meet each and every day. But as a family\, we persevered\, and with hard work\, I was able to go on to college.

Somewhere &ndash\; whether it was in the other Washington or in Olympia &ndash\; elected leaders made tough choices to maintain government programs that helped my family through those difficult times. No matter what the political consequences\, they understood that families like mine needed a helping hand.

Now\, I&rsquo\;m running for State Representative to ensure that the 22nd District has that kind of voice in the Legislature. A voice that will fight to fully fund basic education\, protect programs like basic health and that will take on reforming our outdated tax structure.

On Saturday\, March 27th\, our campaign will officially kick off at the New Market Skills Center in Tumwater. The event will start at 3\:30 p.m. and the Skills Center is located at 7299 New Market Street SW in Tumwater (map). I hope you can join us\, and that you&rsquo\;ll join our team as we embark on this campaign. Please RSVP by emailing us at chris4rep@gmail.com.

In the two months I&rsquo\;ve spent on the campaign trail to date\, I&rsquo\;ve heard from hundreds of 22nd District citizens. The concerns I hear on the campaign trail and the voices of families struggling to make ends meet will always be in my mind if you send me to the State House.
