This was our guiding principles statement in 2006:
Our goal is a just and sustainable society in which future generations are assured of adequate pure water, clean air, fertile soil, a safe food supply, and sufficient resources to meet their needs. We believe the politicization of science in any of its forms threatens the achievement of these goals. To ensure a stable environment for future generations, we must address the issue of global warming.
