R. Scott Roberts has a new blog and he remembers back to the good old days of Ds turned Rs and lack of volunteers:
The Olympian didn't like this idea that I paid for canvassers to support Kevin O'Sullivan for his election bid for Thurston County Commissioner. Hey, we didn't win that one, but can tell you that it put the oposition (sic) on notice.
Put them on notice? Yes, they probably noticed you had more people willing to write you checks than actually do the work of getting someone elected.
Once the word got out, it probably hurt Sullivan's reputation more than Roberts is willing to admit.
